It All Points to Jesus

Day 208 · July 27

A devotional for today

Today’s readings

Old Testament

Jehoshaphat appoints judges and then faces a vast army. Judah prays, worships, and watches God deliver them.

New Testament

Faith comes by hearing, yet many reject the message. Paul insists God has not rejected His people and preserves a remnant by grace.

Psalm

The king rejoices in God’s strength and salvation.

Proverb

Diligence prepares; integrity leaves a trustworthy legacy.

Discover

Judah admits, “We do not know what to do,” and turns toward God. Romans shows that rescue is grace from beginning to end. Jesus is where helpless people turn.

Reflect

Can I admit before God that I do not know what to do?

Fellowship

Why can helplessness become a doorway to deeper faith?

Prayer

Jesus, when I do not know what to do, fix my eyes on You. Amen.

Live

Name the problem. Admit your limits. Turn your eyes toward Christ.
