Old Testament
Isaiah moves from a song of salvation into judgment against proud kingdoms. Babylon may rise, but no human empire can rival God's rule.
New Testament
Paul closes with a call to examine ourselves, pursue restoration, live in peace, and receive the grace of Christ, love of God, and fellowship of the Holy Spirit.
Psalm
David takes refuge under God's wings until danger passes and chooses praise before circumstances change.
Proverb
Do not waste wisdom on those determined to despise it, and never steal from the defenseless.
Discover
Earthly kingdoms rise and fall, but Jesus reigns. Paul's closing blessing also lets us glimpse the beautiful work of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in the life of the church.
Reflect
Am I examining my own walk with Christ as carefully as I examine others?
Fellowship
What would restoration and peace look like in one relationship?
Prayer
Lord Jesus, keep me humble under Your rule and make me a person of restoration and peace. Amen.
Live
Take one step toward peace without waiting for the other person to go first.
