Today’s readings
- Old Testament: ZECHARIAH 12:1-13:9
- New Testament: REVELATION 19:1-21
- Psalm: PSALM 147:1-20
- Proverb: PROVERBS 31:1-7
Old Testament
Zechariah looks toward a pierced one, deep repentance, cleansing from sin, and a struck shepherd. These images find profound fulfillment in Jesus.
New Testament
Heaven celebrates Babylon’s fall, the marriage supper of the Lamb, and the appearing of Christ as Faithful and True - the victorious King of kings.
Psalm
God heals broken hearts, numbers the stars, provides for creation, and delights in those who fear Him and hope in His love. Proverb Summary A king must not surrender judgment to intoxication; leadership requires clear-minded concern for justice. Discover Jesus Jesus is the pierced Savior, struck Shepherd, Bridegroom, Faithful and True, and King of kings. The cross and the crown belong to the same Christ. Reflect Do I know Jesus only as gentle Savior, or also as reigning King? Fellowship Which title for Jesus in Revelation 19 most strengthens your faith, and why?
Prayer
King Jesus, thank You for being pierced for me. Make me ready for the wedding supper of the Lamb. Amen.
Live
Worship Jesus today with both gratitude for the cross and reverence for His crown.
